The Sveti Sava school, Bajina Basta, Serbia

About the project

The elementary school Sveti Sava is situated in Bajina Basta, in the West of Serbia, next to the border with Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The school employs 51 teachers and has a total of 636 students aged 7-14 years old distributed in 29 classes, 27 classes of regular students, and 2 classes of children with disabilities.

The school is the only school in the Zlatibor district that has all-day classes for younger students. Children from the surrounding mountain villages come by different means of transport and stay in school for quite some time after class waiting to be picked up.

Therefore the students spend a lot of time in the schoolyard; for this reason, they urgently need some furniture and accessories for it.
