The Raymond Nicolet Trust each year set a couple of projects and collaborates with school principals with the main goal to provide financial support for school equipment, playgrounds, and classrooms with the aim to improve the educational prospects and school conditions in Serbia while giving children the best opportunities in life.

Projects

THE RNT DONATED £3,000 TO THE JOVAN JOVANOVIC ZMAJ SCHOOL FOR CLASSROOM REFURBISHMENT

The RNT recently donated £3,000 to the Jovan Jovanovic Zmaj elementary school in Pancevo to refurbish some of the classrooms. With the support from the Raymond Nicolet Trust, the wooden flooring has been renovated and the classroom was fully rejuvenated and furnished modernly with new shelves, tables and seats to allow the students and teachers to enjoy them.

 

SPORTS EQUIPMENT, THE SVETI SAVA SCHOOL, Bajina basta

The Raymond Nicolet Trust has just purchased for £3,700 of sports equipment for the poorly-equipped school playground that the children use for their sports activities. Children spend a lot of time in the schoolyard before being picked up in the evening by their parents, and the sports equipment brought happy news to all school children.

Library refurbishment, THE JOVAN ARANDJELOVIC school, crvena reka

The Raymond Nicolet Trust has recently donated £2,500 to the Jovan Arandjelovic school in Crvena Reka, near the South Eastern border of Serbia, to refurbish the school library. The new library has greatly impacted the quality of the lives of the students and brought many happy moments to all.

Van for the Vuk Karadzic Center, Sombor

The Raymond Nicolet Trust has recently financed the purchase of a £10,000 near new van to replace the Vuk Karadzic Center’s existing one which was 20 years old and highly unreliable. The van is essential for the transportation of children and meals between the school's two main cities and to external sporting events.

Library refurbishment, the school Jovan Jovanovic Zmaj, Pancevo

The Raymond Nicolet Trust is financing the refurbishment of the library at the Jovan Jovanovic Zmaj school in Pancevo. The £4,000 raised has allowed the school to restore the wooden floor to its former glory, repair and paint all walls. Some furniture will be bought to complete the stunning look of the rejuvenated library. All books collected and donated by the Trust last year to the school will fill the library shelves and be put to very good use.

 

Playground equipment for the Children and Youth Center Miroslav Mika-Antic, Sombor

The RNT installed some sports and play equipment for the school. The £4,000 raised amount was aimed to buy slides, swings, carousels and benches to refurbish the poorly-equipped school playground that children use for their outdoor activities.

 

IT and school equipment for the Vuk Karadzic Center, Sombor

Christine Fort-Hilcenko, one of the founder of the Raymond Nicolet Trust presented a cheque of £2000 to the Vuk Karadzic Center, Sombor, Serbia as part of the support agreement between the school and the Raymond Nicolet Trust. This money will be used to purchase some IT equipment to allow the children to get introduced to computer technologies and to use special software developed to help children with special needs.
